Exemption beach entrance

If you have difficulty walking or are disabled, you can, after showing your disability pass or doctor's certificate, obtain a chip for the barrier to be able to go to the beach of Petten or Sint Maartenszee by car. This chip is available for free at Camping Sint Maartenszee.

Beach wheelchair

There are many places where you can borrow a beach wheelchair. These are special wheelchairs with pneumatic tires with which you can easily drive in the (soft) sand.

Holiday by the sea for wheelchair users

If you want to book a holiday by the sea and are wheelchair-bound, you can book a wheelchair holiday by the sea at GREAT-Vakantiehuizen.  We have a number of adapted holiday homes that are partially wheelchair accessible. Is a wheelchair-friendly holiday home not enough?

Sometimes, a wheelchair-friendly holiday home is not enough and care is needed. There are, also in the Netherlands, a number of care institutions that can also provide care during holidays. This is very nice if you are physically limited and need care at your holiday address. You can request the addresses of these healthcare institutions from, for example, your health insurer.
